Still Second day~
Edinburgh is famed for its dark and murky past ~ and is filled with tales of scary activities and strange paranormal activity. And guess beside the histories, the haunted activities.. is something that attracted tourist. This is the city where the body serial killers Burke and Hare once operated, and the city that inspired books like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.. (i missed form 3 student life..... )
We went for night activity in "City of the Dead" ,it is bascially guided tour into the a graveyard and old abandon prison. We paid £6.50 by showing our student card. Everyone met outside of St Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile and we were met by the friendly guide (Roise?? forgot the name) and waited with the growing number of eager tourists
Our guide was very quite.....creepy =P , the guide trying to scare us by telling the history of torture and witches to life and some graveyard stories. It doesn't really provide the scary atmosphere I had been hoping for. Guess my expectations were too high for this so called haunted tour guide.
We made our way to the Greyfriars Kirk. Yes, we were entering a graveyard, again she continued with her not so scary's story..and were all ushered into a mausoleum, and then that nuisance jumped in and scared us all...just once … overall the tour was…. Disappointing..
Then, the guide brought us to this small building and told us that the inner part of the building is very scary and she asked us to have a peek if we want and the tour ended. We looked at each other, asking whether its really end of tour... hopeully they had something more interesting for us, but..we all felt cheated. £ 6.50 to listen to ghost stories, which wasn't that scary. argghhh...... ang mohs'land..everywhere conned people's money !!!! We took the pictures of the building.. and what we found were just some orbs floating around!
Imperial kid went and asked the people there..whether that's snow ..lol..damn ulu... all syok sendiri taking pictures and happily... hahaha.. the fella told us that's just frosted flake.. haha.. who cares!! i will still take tat as SNOW!! until i see the real snow =P
After spending some time there play with the "snow" to cold us down for being conned, we stopped at various places to take pictures on the way back to the accomodation.
Bobby's story in Edinburgy~ Bobby was the pet of shepherd John Gray. The loyalty of the little Skye terrier was so great that for 14 years the dog lived on guarding his master's grave in Greyfriars Kirkyard until his own death. This is a statue of the terrier is now situated on Candlemakers Row, and is one of the most photographed statues in Edinburgh. Imperial kid loves this picture so much , this is one of his master piece i think..lol..
